Patent writing has stopped at Intel mainly due to ridiculous level of budgets. Inventors have stopped submitting ideas. They will give those ideas to their next employers!

Really good for him to leave Intel. Any capable people should not waste their time here as Intel only delivered layoffs in the past year, nothing else.

Any technical people should not waste their career here as Intel will degrade your skill.

What real skills does it use to just daydream all day? As prolific as this person was, how did they actually have any time to do real work?

Probably a good exit for Intel.
