@cc The packages protect Intel from people suing over being fired. You can’t sue if you take the package and most people don’t have the money for a drawn out unlawful dismissal claim.

I'm bummed. We were told no severance packages. But it's close to last year's. Had I known I would have asked my boss to pick me.

@a4 Yes, package is 4 + 9 + 1.5 weeks per year of service. Same COBRA benefit also.
