In light of recent layoffs expected related to badge swipe data, I’m not sure if I should work from home for those 5 days , even thought I’ve been consistently coming into office for over a year

Take the 5 days working from home.
You will be dismissed from your job the following week!
@OP if you have been in 7 days a week all along, it is fine for you to take this 5 day work from home break. When people get the nasty-gram emails about attendance, it is an average over time. Plus, the badge system has no idea if you are on vacation, or traveling for work, etc. So if you manager approves, go for it and WFH. You deserve the break!
Yes, I got an email saying I have to attend the office 3 days a week now. I told my surpervisor I wasn’t coming in and would quit. He just told me to hold on and take a package. They are going to have to layoff so many people over this, they will be required by Ontario law to offer a larger severance due to how many people they are dropping into the job market,
@a3 people who averaged less than 2 days in the office since April received an email last week saying they needed to come in 3 days a week immediately
@a2 Nowhere in the notification we got did it say 3 days till September. It just said 4 days a week starting September. But I apologize if I’ve missed something in the notice.
The policy is 3 days a week minimum until Sept and then it's 4 days a week minimum. By November it will be 5 days a week minimum.
What part of the policy is unclear?
No one can tell you. I know, it su-ks. We just don't know.
One thing I do know is that they are looking for any reason to axe people.
That said, do what you think is best.
