Was told I was less skilled then the other techs in my area because I had only been in the department for 14 months.
Their loss. I have made many friends in the green badge ranks, in my 9 years of service, who would gladly have me on their team. Nice payday coming my way.
If they are going to let me go They better make me work until lunch and meeting at pm. Tell me first thing in the morning so I can go back ro bed.

@a9 My last day is the 31st but they took my fab access away so how is a tech suppose to work without fab access? My manager is getting everything worked out in the next day or two and giving me the rest of the month off. Will return on the 30th to turn my badge and computer in.

i too was let go today. It’s been a sad day. Like everyone else.. I knew there was a possibility with a 20% reduction, but when you actually get the call, and the reality sets in you no longer have a job- that pit in your stomach becomes all too real and it really s- cks. I wish you the best.

4 weeks of pay + 1.5weeks*full years of service
9 weeks of pay in lieu of redeployment
12 months paid cobra
