Ever since the 4 days in work/ 1 day remote announcement, so many people in my division have applied for medical accommodations to work from home. I am curious how many will be approved. If you have a genuine need, that is okay. The people I know do not have a genuine need. They are just revolting against the 4 days. I hate the 4 days too so I understand the emotions. But that doesn't mean you should fake a medical need.

I can tell a lot of people on here have fake medical accommodations.
What I find wild is people care more about what others are doing instead of being pi---d at the bank itself for not treating people like adults. Mind your own business.
Definitely understand that there are needs for medical accommodations but when over 50% of the team has a medical accommodation that’s ridiculous. the bank should look at why that is. People would be more likely to want to come in, if we weren’t treated like children.
@aw I work with someone who moved over 30 miles away from our office during COVID and filed for an accommodation to remain WFH. This person said driving into work causes stress. I'm not kidding!
@aw
You cannot get a medical accommodation just because you think the lights are too bright. She clearly has a condition related to light sensitivity and it’s causing migraines. But the lights aren’t way too bright if we’re being honest, they’re ridiculously bright if people feel the need to wear sunglasses and hats in the office!
My son has very light eyes and a migraine will hit him immediately if he doesn’t wear sunglasses outside or when his class doesn’t have natural light, and/or the LEDs are in his peripheral vision all day.
Nobody approved your coworkers circumstances simply because she thought the lights were too bright. You’re being insensitive and minimizing a situation where you obviously don’t know the whole story. Honestly, you sound like a dramatic crybaby.
I am also appalled that contractors are allowed to wfh all the time in my division.
@aw that is a real condition you know? I mean if they get a doctors note and proof then what’s the problem here? We should be mass scale revolting against corporate draconian policies instead we nod along like sheep and go with it. If someone has a genuine medical issue they can get proof for , let them for gods sake!
I work with someone who says the lights are too bright and hurt her eyes so she can't work in the office anymore. I'm serious. That is the reason she cited.
Their condition is H1B.
@a1 What exactly are they claiming is their condition?
@OP Yeah. There is alot fake medical leave going on right now.
