Do you have to be 55 and Meet the 70 or does 40 years old and 30 years working at this forced child labor sweatshop count😅?

is 70 the number at any age or is 55 the min age to qualify.

The VRP is offered to all that meet the math. If not, it’s age discrimination.

@1gw hopefully. Question, if you owned the business and could get the exact same work accomplished for 60% of the cost wouldn't you make the change?

@1ht hahaha. But coke would probably do better.

Started with the big facilities and will eventually move to the smaller ones until they’re all transitioned over. Seems other companies and countries can do our work better and for less.
I heard Coke is going to start selling for us and UPS can deliver

@125 well yeah…..figured people were smart enough to figure that out. 70 or above. 70 being the starting point for VRP’s.

@11j You mean it must be >70 not equal 70. My number is over 90, crossing my fingers.

A layoff may target a specific function or team due to business changes but a VRP is another way to reduce headcount and costs voluntarily to help meet the business objectives but they cannot just offer VRP to just select people if they do that they must offer to everyone that is at an eligible age and tenure like they did most recently about 1.5 years ago.

@rt I understand it’s 2 weeks per year, but unsure about the health benefits. Involuntary layoffs are immediate whereas the VRP has a specific window as to your last day and your benefits start from there.

@w6 taking over the warehouse. Warehouse won’t be working for Pepsi anymore. They are a nightmare!

@q6 Haven't heard of Capstone, what is that?

@q6 are layoff packages the same as VRP? 2wks fit every year capped at 1 year + benefits?

It will be a layoff package, not a VRP when 1NA and Capstone come to town. Checkout Capstone’s glass door rating. Classy operation.

So you really think the head count reductions and layoffs are really over ? There will be more efforts to reduce head count ongoing for several more years wait and see.
