I know someone promoted to my area, but most people are perhaps victims of this remapping process I assume?

Someone in my area received a huge promotion to an area she knows nothing about. Mind boggling!
@c1 well the one promoted into my area appears white. I’m sure he has the skill set we are looking for.
@bs most promoted are clueless, but they are the brown nosers 👃 💩 so they make it up the ladder. If there is anything I WAS hoping for with ER, it’s that skills and talent might actually be recognized. But after seeing two promoted in my team, it’s just the su-k ups still.
I know one person. I don’t know if her money changed. To me, if your money stayed the same, it’s not a promotion.
Wish her the best because she was clueless in her old space.
@ae Low and behold the only promotions are under Chuback’s area. Not surprised at all.
It’s my understanding there were a handful of people were promoted.
@a6 why does their division matter? This happened all throughout this dumpster fire of an organization.

@a1 yes apparently “this is not about cost savings” is a lie. I’ll never trust a word from ELT again. How can you expect employees to work more productively after demoting them?
@OP I don’t know anyone that got a promotion, just demotions and layoffs. The number of demotions surprised me. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the demotions either, the levels and roles still exist, they just want to pay out smaller bonuses so the greedy ELT and GP hogs can add to their immense wealth. I hope the hogs get sla-ghtered some day.
