Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford cost reduction plan

Leaderships are talking a lot, but no action.

My suggestion:
Build quality products.
Reduced safety recalls to 10 per year.
Reduced the workforce by 10%
Look closely to employees work assignments.
Ford has too many employees with no work to đo they are pretending to be busy.
Introduce new innovative products that are attractive to the consumers.

Reduce by 7 percent, sounds more American.

Reducing the workforce could be done IF they got rid of the clueless new to company hires. Problem is, they will cut the experienced folk and make the current situation worse.

Why do these policies and tactics remind me of DJT admin - to achieve the end goal, ignore fair and decent processes, hurt people?

Their 'layoffs' will be seeing people leave by September for the new 4 day RTO policy. And then terminate those who don't comply. After all of that, layoffs will be considered.

They could always open up new R&D facilities at opposite ends of the country and build a new workforce at them. That way future leadership can realize cost efficiencies by consolidating R&D facilities that were previously doing the same work at opposite ends of the country.

Cost reduction? Always code for layoffs.

I have good info saying that if you are found in violation of 4 day RTO your bonus target will be cut by 50%. And you'll be first up on the coming layoff list.

It's coming....

@a1 Copy/pasting this in every thread won't improve your aptitude, nor will getting rid of those that are working circles around you. HTH!

My entire team asked the question about layoffs during the GLM and they didn’t even acknowledge the questions. Writing is on the wall, layoffs are coming but they don’t want to speak on it.

Need everyone back to the office 5 days per week.

Many employees are still working from home, they don't even come into the office.

If you are working from home, then you are on the list to be layoff.
