Are they seriously asking / expecting individuals to uproot their lives and move half way across only to attend zoom meetings???
There needs to be an immediate flash calls from some leadership to address this ASAP.

@c6 single people have parents too toots. It's not helpful to pit one group against another. Single vs married, people with kids vs no kids. As for suing them, good luck. You don't think they've done this before? Their lawyers have checked their p's and q's 6 ways to Sunday before doing this. I feel for those this is impacting - it' su-ks
Single or not, you can't expect individuals to uproot their lives for a job, even if it's legally company CAN do, it's employee harassment at its best.

It's better to ride out, play the waiting game, if they try to get rid of you, have an attorney ready with all the documentation on how you have been harassed.
Do not sign the severance until they meet you at your terms, else see them in court.

Fine if you’re single and maybe haven’t a roots when you’re asked to relocate. Big difference when you have a spouse/partner with their own career and/or you’ve got kids, maybe a parent who needs looked after……. I’m sure there’s a statistical number that says if you ask X people to relocate then N% of them will resign saving severance.
I saw this coming, when I noticed a guy flipping out while in a zoom meeting with someone (assuming his manager) few weeks back.
Apparently he was asked by his manager to relocate to NC from Westlake (3 months after he relocated from Boston to Westlake).
I am in Westlake and have heard multiple chatter around how the Wealth platform is making lives miserable for associates.
The guy who yelled was asked to take few days leave to “cool off”
I mean how dare you have audacity to ask someone to uproot their lives twice within 6 months ?????
If fido continues this, soon they will be in news for all the wrong reasons.
Any management that is asking you to relocate is a crazy overpaid nutjob of a person. Stay away from that management. Their intentions are not in your best interest.
