Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

I just hope the layoffs happen quickly

I don't have the capacity left to endure endless sleepless nights, waiting for the axe to fall.

@b9 I had a team in August, they were let go, I had no idea.

spoke to a VP that brought it up to me - a much lower level (me) asked if my team knew anything -said they didn't know a thing - has 7 direct reports if someone goes they didn't pick them based on work product or relationship
or it's the VP themself -
are the layoffs being delivered by your boss or their boss or via email - anyone know
I'm in LA so maybe NYC will be able to alert us ...
good luck

@aa I doubt they would send an email about wfh in the morning of the day of. most people are bound to miss it and defeat the intention. In the past either they just did it with everyone in the office or they gave a few days notice of wfh. If it’s true what I’ve read in some posts that every team will need to make a cut, I don’t think they’d have every team wfh. Good luck to all.

This **** really is quite awful. Im having a hard time focusing on much else today. Praying I'll be safe tomorrow, but just desperate for the anxious waiting to be over. Anyone else who is in this situation, well, you've got my complete sympathy at least

@a1 Make sure you check for an email before you head into the office...It should be going out.

@OP agreed. And hope we are all given the chance to WFH tomorrow - the least they can do is not make us travel into work to only receive the news we are being let go.
