I have noticed several employees and contractors leaving. The employees are all young under 32 years old . Some have only been here a few years. They said they did not like the environment and people. several contractors have left as well. They did not like the working conditions as well. I don't think it is the pay it is the dysfunctional work place. In my group 75% of the employees have only 2 years with the company. Lots of turn over and wee are constantly shifting people and training new workers. I don't blame them for leaving. The only thing keeping me going is the medical and pension at 55.

I was a contractor at Exxon Clinton site, it's too dysfunctional for my liking. And there's too many boomers who just hang around doing nothing. Oh well moved onto better things. Darren woods running the show at Exxon has sold out America for a quick buck.
Because smart, skillfulpeople prioritize their well being and true worth. Why would such people stay with Exxon.
They don't pay contractors enough to stay. The ones in the Beaumont area get paid baaaaad.
@OP This is normal. It’s also the only way to move up or get a pay bump. People rarely stay with a company for more than three years now.
Part of the reason this is the only way to move up are the senior employees who retired in place. Rather than complain, the rest of us just move on to better jobs elsewhere. As an added bonus I don’t have to listen to your “back in my day” boomer BS anymore.
Have fun working and getting dumped on until you collapse.
OP and all, Darren has totally ki-led the company. There's absolutely nothing left much less for a young person. This ain't a place for a long term career anymore. And they treat you like shlt. Management puts you on a PIP for no reason or just to protect the HiPos which are worth shlt and sc--w up all the time. We can't balme people for leaving. ExxonMobil is dead. I'm just surprised that the investors are not dumping the stock. I guess they love losing money.
As a hat I’m certainly looking elsewhere. You can smell the decay and see it, it’s quite obvious. Have a 15 year sample to draw and make comparisons from. They simply do want people to depart.
Place is a circus now. Company is far worse now than even in the depths of Covid-19. That's quite some achievemen Exxon!
Can you blame people for leaving. We keep punishing employees and Houston Leadership don’t care
