PepsiCo has been unbearable to work for the last five years at least. I am not worried about layoffs one bit. I will gladly take a severance package to leave this dumpster fire. I'm honestly not sure why so many people are worried about this when it can only get better once you are out.

People at my facility are promoted for having the d-mbest ideas possible that impact frontline and detract from the business. DEI has nothing to do with it we have more Caucasian male managers than any other facility. Supervisors who are all minorities, have zero control over any decisions impacting frontline! New director of one of our sister plants took offices away from Quality and Production supervisors. Pepsi is the worst it's ever been!
It’s not DEI that is the problem. It’s the blatant favoritism. Constantly seeing people who underperform getting promoted because of who they know. It’s ki-ling the morale.
So why don’t you leave if it is so much better on the outside?
There is no glory in being hired or promoted based on markers you had no control over such as your race (born in it) or your gender (born in it). DEI is never the solution it’s actually the problem
This statement is 100% accurate. PepsiCo was the worst company I’ve ever worked for. Quaker division is a nightmare, 90% of salaried employees hate their job. Facility is absolutely filthy and wouldn’t recommend purchasing any products for health and safety reasons.
To the dude crying about "DEI" hires...just say the real word you want to say. Absolutely sick of racists like you hiding behind "affirmative action", now "DEI" all because you are too incompetent to differentiate yourself based on merit/talent. Put some real energy into fu--ing your sister, because maybe PepsiCo isn't for you.
Hearing those who didn't take early retirement are some of those being targeted this week. You should never gamble when offering a sure thing. Some VP & SVP have left as well....not given an option.
I completely agree with you 💯 this isn’t the company we all came to long ago. Its glory is behind it. On top, they add this bs of DEI hiring and promoting people based on their gender and ethnicity this is where companies go to die. We all have seen people slotted in roles they have no business being in just because they check one or more of the DEI boxes; this will eventually catch up with them and it will be too late to revert back.
Sounds like two possibilities here you should have taken the voluntary retirement package if you met the age requirements or you are just another whiny millennial who is allergic to work? Which is it?
Yeah agree. I only made it 2 years before I had to get the fu-k out of there on my own, and it was the best decision I've ever made. If you do it for yourself, your mental health will thank you.
@OP+1rS8rrZD totally agree. waiting for the package they promised me in 2020 when they said my payroll job is going away. I am just waiting for when payroll is finally where they want it to be, why not wait for the package. I will gladly let them pay me for a year when they let me go. too much time invested not to wait for the package
If you are that miserable, you should move on by your own volition. No reason to stay for 5 years hoping to be let go....
