Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Major security issue??

Laid off yesterday and did the thing where I input my personal email for the severance package communications. Received my own but this morning I received someone else’s! Full of personal info, salary information, full severance documents, etc. How do I know my personal info isn’t being shared out either! The email says it’s not monitored for responses. Just FYI to everyone who did get laid off - your info may not be secure.

Also annoying to see how little I was being paid compared to this person πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ

I also received an email yesterday with someone else’s RIF letter. Then I received a call from mdt hr telling me to delete it and not print or forward it, like I was the bad guy! Then they told me not to worry because they confirmed my RIF letter wasn’t sent to someone else! Lol. Also, they sent me mine multiple times! What a complete mess.

I received multiple ‘urgent’ emails about providing my personal email after I had already provided it to the HR person present at my RIF meeting and to the first email requesting it.

Yeah but it will take them years to figure out how to not send others personal info.

In GM’s email yesterday it said, β€œAs our mission dictates, we are taking great care to treat all impacted employees with the dignity and respect they deserve”. Yeah, way to nail that one GM. Whoever sent that to you should be FIRED on the spot. Not cool.
