Again, PIP season is coming. 5 of my team mates on PIPs yesterday.

@dk I think that is the image they want to portray. But they are “losing” a lot lately. Just settling but fraud is fraud at end of the day. If you can show you were piped fraudulent then you can go for it and get your money! I also like the previous post mentioning ruining their career forever. It should. And we should. Never let them forget what they did. It should be a stain on their resumes for rest of career. I think we commonly just let it go. And they get to do it again. They need to be held accountable.

@OP Probably worth reminding managers feeling pressure from above to engage in questionable conduct, they may not only be in violation of the Business Conduct Guidelines. If they know they are engaging in something of questionable legality they may also individually be in violation of the law. And personally responsible. If your superior tells you to do something potentially illegal (whether hidden or not), that does not remove responsibility from you for engaging. It is not an excuse for violating the law. Just an FYI. Although maybe unlikely, if you do get pinched individually, do you think your superior or execs will have your back? Or forget they knew you? Something to consider. And if you don't know the full legal details of what you are doing, remember "Ignorance of the law is no excuse". Might be better to refuse. Just saying. Good luck.
@bx they don’t care. They jack off to it. They only care about their money and who they can surround themselves to ensure they continue getting their money. IBM? The product? The science? They don’t give a flying fu-k about any of it
PIP season? That runs from Jan 1-Dec 31.

This is so sad. How can managers and executives at IBM stoop this low.
