Honestly, I’m pi---d.
Today we found out our CEC is closing. A lot of us have spent YEARS here. We knew something was coming, hiring slowed down, positions stopped being backfilled, and our headcount kept dropping. But hearing that we’re actually closing still hits different.
Now we’re being moved into another CEC.
And that means our teams get combined, opportunities get smaller, and there are fewer admin, CM and Sr. Manager roles for us to move into.
Then you look at the store closures and the push toward “digital first.”
So much for Frontline First.
We’re constantly told not to worry and that every change is just “consolidation.”
But we’re the ones watching our teams get smaller and our options disappear.
Maybe this really is just one CEC.
But if you’re sitting in another CEC thinking this has nothing to do with you…
I’d be paying attention.
Because when they need fewer buildings, they need fewer people to fill them.
And I really hope I’m wrong about what comes next.
