@ @1sqx+1lyhSgtG coming from Baton Rouge you are for the most part spot on. However, not all LSU grads are low iQ but the sls… Well most are definitely low IQ and definitely most all are back stabbers. Especially the second rate college sls’s that were canned or banned from other sites. Dow rejects are the worst.

Beaumont is actually not bad in Operations, Technical and Maintenance at the complex. Engineering is probably at or near the bottom compared to the other sites. The PE site across the way struggles hard in Technical.

I have to chuckle at these postings by clowns who probably have never been to Baytown. Baytown is the crown jewel of Exxon. Baton Rouge is full of back stabbers and low IQ LSU losers. I’ve been to Baton Rouge so yes, I know of what I speak. I haven’t been to Beaumont so unlike others I won’t say anything about that. I don’t understand how Joliet worked its way into the posts, not at all comparable to the big three. Can anyone who is or has been to Beaumont comment on Beaumont?

Sounds like BOP to me. It’s a sh---y place w/ bunch of immortal DHs and managers who only care for themselves.

@zjk+1lyhSgtG You are totally right. The worst is yet to come and I am sure it will be a major safety violation or event of some kind. And you are also right, the only thing keeping Exxon alive is Ukraine and the big mess it has caused in the energy markets. Without that Exxon would fold very quickly. There is nothing left here. Absolutely nothing.

If they are skrimping as you say, expect some major safety events.
It's very predictable.

Baytown senior management is out of touch, and yes, the SLS are only out for themselves because that’s how they were “raised” at this company. It’s a deeply ingrained part of the culture at EM.

@OP Does this have anything to do with why EM is constantly posting the same two requisitions for engineering in Baytown?

Let EM HR know that they’ve already interviewed every qualified individual for both roles in the greater Houston area, and that nobody wants to work there for the amount of money they’re currently offering. They need to be well over $200k/year. Otherwise they can go pound sand.

With KL taking over tech contacts and other that have heavy influence in reliability......I must have to say worse is yet to come........only thing keeping XOM afloat is war on Ukraine. The ultimate POS award goes to DW.

Lol. POS compared to what?!? Beaumont? Baton Rouge? Joliet?

Excluding going to an outside company, they are all the same at heart.
