Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Is it legal??!!

And shocked with my recent experience.
Had an opening which is not a Visa sponsorship position.
Hiring manager was so mad and ended up convincing his LL4 and my boss and changed to Visa sponsorship. His LL4 and My leadership is also Indian.
Later he confessed to me saying his cousins badly need a Job who is on OPT Visa and has only 30 days, else she have to go back to India..
He even modified the resume to match the Job description..unfortunately HR hands are tight with this as no substantial evidence (except 2 different resumes)

Sadly it’s legal!!
I have heard my stories from my colleagues where we have to put down the qualified local candidates, it was worse when GM has gone through a huge layoff… many locals were job less, many ended with foreclosures of their homes as we were forced to hire H1B’s and OPT visas due to internal pressure…surprisingly these candidates who are on visas have fabricated resumes and experience certifications.. you guys will be surprised to the extent they go to get a job..:
I fully support to stop these visa hires. Looks like it’s above the HR pay grade to make this call.:

I propose a test, hire 10 H1B employees, and 10 Americans, two different groups - give them the same assignment. Hire 10 Americans willing to work for the H1B wage rate. I'd bet a million dollars the 10 Americans outperform the H1Bs, and the company saves the fee....

Not the original poster, but yeah, this happens all the time. People getting fired just to bring in H1B workers, or H1B only hiring H1B folks. It is a total racket at this point. Might as well just move the whole company to India. Honestly, it feels like we've already shipped half the white-collar jobs there, and now they're starting to move some hourly roles too. In Dearborn, most of those tech jobs are going to people from India. It's wild that last time I looked, only about 90% of college IT grads actually landed a job, so that missing 10% is a big deal. It feels like they're pushing down wages for Americans, which is making fewer students want to bother getting a degree in tech these days, pretty sad stuff.

Wow, some of the folks working at Ford Motor Company are seriously disgusting. Looking at stuff like this doesn't surprise me at all. It feels like some of the executives are total trash, and even the lower-level (LL6s) seem so evil it makes you wonder why they're even allowed on the planet. I'm honestly shocked by how people are being treated here. Stop at nothing to destroy your ability to work, exist in peace, and be productive. Sadistic. Zero apology afterward, truly evil.

My Niece works for Costco and they're having nightmares with these guys.. some return their quarter left milk cans...looks like this is a issue with these guys across the USA. they're struggling to control too.....

Look at Texas, they're ruining our culture.. I have lot of friends who are contractors and no one wants to deal with them as they always short them ln the agreed price and my old landlord was Indian too who never fixed his home since 1980 even the roof fell off.. glad we have our own place now....

Almost 100% of H1Bs are Indians.
And Majority of them abuse this Visa.
This is for high/special skilled people. I have been in this company for over 20 years. And Yet to find one who is high skilled... most of these H1Bs are slacking and very slow. It's shame to call them High skilled visa sponsored.
US companies should Block H1B, OPT and Hire locals
