Volume is flat, overtime is being watched, and have been told anyone that quits, retires etc, that those positions will not be filled in Mechanical across the Southwest at this time. Any news anywhere else?

RDV is above its percentages for incidents for the year, so company is gearing up to layoff in the South as a consequence, reallocating resources and shifting traffic to account for loss of man power, releases, and rail traffic that always follows terminations and furloughs because of BNSF’s unspoken policy of getting rid of people after a rise in incidents. Foreman and managers stuck on PIP and action plans that they never get out from under, followed by terminal and shop cuts, whereas the remaining employees are indirectly threatened with “if incidents keep occurring, then scabbing out a location is on the table.”
My shop has become so miserable that they might as well hand out depression medication at the front door. Everyone hates each other, and morale is nowhere to be found.

@OP it’s about that time. Raises in July as well. Wouldn’t be surprised.
