Finance, IT and HR have 40-50% headcount reduction targets by 2030. Expect 5-10% "performance" cuts each year, very few backfills and a ROM 2028-2029.

The mantra in ABU is just wait for 28 and taken the money and run. If there is no reorg, morale will plummet.
@ar There used to be about 15,999 employees along with one Slacker. Me. Totaling 16K employees in IT Orgs through out the Company. Pretty amazing what Chevron has done to the IT workforce.
totally fake news
@OP in the US, maybe. Not globally after the hiring spree we’ve been on here
Unfortunately, it's going to get worse. Not working 15 hours days, your not a "valuable contributer". They say they value skills. But they value BCG or MCKINSEY. I have 3 years left to point out. I cannot wait.
@a4 there are only like 3000 IT employees now, and half of them are already non-US
Watch out for your leaders behavior changing. They may be held accountable for the first time in there careers. Consultant budgets are getting cut and most upper level GMs can't make decisions without paying 10-20 million to BCG, Deloitte or McKinsey.
When your manager is nervous about his/her job, they don't care about you. They are just trying to survive.
Would anyone notice?
@a4 don’t forget the Program Managers
Fire all the ENGINE hires. Congrats, you’ve saved money / increased value / raised morale / refocused employees on doing the work that matters instead of babysitting.
I heard manufacturing might have layoffs too in CA. Is it true?
Wow. What are we gonna do with only 5000 IT "Project Managers" after the cuts?
