It depends on the org and there’s been no attempt to harmonize across Ford. If you’re in TPPM, LD made most folks come back into the office with notable people that were remote departing. If you’re in CVS there are still LL2s and GSRs working perfectly fine in remote patterns. Some sub-orgs are moving to hybrid but no mandates (coming straight from LL2s through 4s).

My betting money is RTO will NOT become corporate-wide but with spikes in certain areas, then by attrition of where leaders are actually sitting, enforce RTO haphazardly if command/control types are leading the org. If not, being classified remote and working in remote patterns doesn’t seem to be a huge deal.

@g0 That should make the employment lawyers happy. Anyone that is still WFH has a medical exemption, except for a few that had roles designated as full remote and deemed critical to that role.

@OP Rumor has it that the legal department had management make certain that there are desks for everyone and had them post name plaques for everyone and that includes WFH folks. The next step is to have everyone RTO, with no more off-site working.

The next step is terminating anyone who works off-site and does not come into the office, including anyone that had prior permission to work at home. WFH folks will need to start coming in or face termination.

The policy was implemented last month and has already been executed with the folks working in California.

@c2 we were told RTOis not an objective, rather an expectation. Although it is ironic that it is on the Directors objectives

RTO metrics are a critical pillar to improve the company's success. Leadership is taking this very seriously. Did you not get the email warnings cascaded? That should have cleared up any doubt that an in-person work model is one of your most important objectives.
