Thread regarding Ford layoffs

4 Day Per Week - RTO

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/ford-employees-told-could-fired-093101107.html

So far, most salary employees are still working from home. No one that I know of have been fired. It's a joke with this company.

Now you are wondering who's going to suffer the most following Ford CEO, Jim Farley announcement that Ford employees must RTO four days a week or face termination?

The answer to the greatest suffering question. It will be P0rn Hub's balance sheet, which is going to take a major, like big league grand-slam hit in lost revenue due to Ford employees canceled subscriptions who have been told to return to office.

@dm
Was your "non-compliance" measured against actual policy that allows for vacation days or was it measured by the fake HR badge swipe average attendance per week metric?

@dm

Very sorry to hear this @dm. Truly.

Ford lost another high performer who will be replaced by an h1b-er. We will see this guy congregated with other h1b's not far from the coffee stations, several times a day, for WAY more time than they should be wasting, di-ks in their hands, talking about whatever the f they talk about.

Take some metrics on that Ford HR.

Just was just let go yesterday for non-compliance. Immediate managers had pushed hard for an exception.
I prepared for this and it's going to end up fine. But Ford is out a multi-year high performer.

Good luck to everyone else.

You misread the official announcement.
Ford's leadership actually stated it is four minutes RTO per week.
So, you, along with fellow slackers will still have plenty of paid time for no-work from home, like 39 hours and 56 minutes per week to continue to s-l-a-c-k at home.

@a8 If your workload has tripled and you are still capable to deliver. What is wrong?

@ae

Oh look, the LL+ who's too chickken to fire the real RTO do-nothings is back and spreading her broad brush half as ed approach at managing RTO.

If youre not going to actually manage, why does Ford even pay you lazy managers?

I hope Ford starts putting some teeth into the whole RTO thing and really starts to crack down on people. Employees, especially low level people, need to be at work in the office together so that management can keep an eye on them.

So far I have only heard of one getting fired for non-compliance. I am very disappointed in the company leadership. They clearly have no idea what goes on at a salary grade level. I flat out told my supervisor I am no longer working overtime and if there are any meetings outside of 8-4 hours I will not attend.

My workload over the last 5 years has tripled due to the prior layoffs and they are not willing to hire any more people. I am to the point I don’t give a sh*t anymore, this company has destroyed my drive. I will do the amount of work I can in normal business hours, if things are late so be it.

What is sad is that everyone I talk to has the same sentiment. If they think recalls are bad now just see how beating down the employees who actually do the work does for them..

We also had kids during covid so structured our lives around working from home because that was the ‘way of the future’. Many other young families we know at Ford did the same thing. This flip flop has been a kick in the nuts and it seems everyone I know is applying elsewhere and Roth turnover this high I’m surprised management hasn’t gotten the hint.
