@a5 nah. There's no RTO in the works. The policy that's been still stands and our GP's have already addressed this. Even new job req's will be hybrid if you live near or HBA if further. Think about what you've said.

Very conceivable that like most companies these layoffs allowed for the firm to eliminate large groups or departments (sad) or the bottom performers (good)

They didnt include the people laid off last year in OPS. Hundreds were chopped between 2023 and jan this year. Never reported to the press, but these people got severance package because they were unable to find roles. All after training their indian replacements.

3000 were offered VSP.
552 took VSP.
294 roles of those who took VSP are carried on at the firm.
258 of the remaining roles are closed.
259 were laid off with ISP.
50+ GPs “voluntarily” retired.

Some of the 259 ISPs were easy outs of firing vs having to have HR and their managers babysit them, easier to layoff than deal with that cr-p.

In the next 2-6 weeks, job reqs will be open and it will be that you have to live within travel distance to now prepare them all to RTO 5 days a week like Stifel soon.
