I had received an PIP and my last day was 8/8. My boss had created a UPS label for me to send the laptop back. I had UPS My Choice and was able to get update that label was created for my address by BNY. I am so glad I got that information and used my sick days for the next 3 days. I told my manager in text I knew about it before hand as the label was created last week and her jaw just dropped. If you are on PIP create UPS My select account and you will know atleast a week ahead of you are not passing your PIP

If you got below last year at any point they are looking at you to be let go. Be prepared
I was put on a PIP at the beginning of the year and made it through. However, it was only during mid years when I went back to look at it and suddenly the criteria is present where it wasn’t before. It states that even if the development plan is rated as passed, the performance warning remains in effect for 12 months. So, you can pass your PIP but still be fired at any time throughout the 12 months and receive no severance for poor performance.
@as+1k2cyr4fp It has to be done in Oracle so you would know as you’d get the notification. I don’t know about the mid years but at year end last year, anyone Partial or Below were automatically put on a PIP meaning it was automatically pushed in Oracle and the manager had to fill it out.
Make sure you pull all the ram out of the laptop before you send it back and wipe the hard drive "just for security purposes" in case it gets lost in shipment. You just want to protect the company's data, after all.

@a4 well that was not the case with me. I think my manager was worried about the company laptop. The process had started earlier and at the last day I had my usual conversation did not pass bla bla bla. I just sent her a message in teams that I am receiving a package from BNY. Does this mean I am getting a free swag or getting a UPS box to return laptop. All I way if you are put on PIP consider yourself fired. PIP= Paid Interview Period.
@OP until your PIP ends and you are marked off track then they shouldn't request any label until you are notified of termination which has to be approved to deliver by HR first
