There is a policy for severance on the HR website. Just look it up.
I believe you have to have 20 yrs + to get nine months severance (the highest available). It trickles down from there. 10 yrs is around 5 months.
@ar 2 weeks is customary everywhere else except car companies. They usually give more so you don't go blabbing to the papers. There is nothing that says you get 9 months, 6 months, etc. they can change terms at any time. If you think they are targeting you, be prepared and proactive.
@d8 Riley’s believe it or not I was part of a tiger team and I didn’t see both my managers for what felt like more than a few mkmths
Then when it came around to performance review they just made sh-t up and deleted the slack chats
You get a ki=ck in the butt outside of the door by the security guards. Outside monitors will display Fa-t, Dog and your LL4 laughing at you.
@OP When Security shows up, takes your badge and escorts you off the premises.
AS i understand , Mid Aug is review and Sep is the saperation,, really bad time of year for this!! We have greate leaders everywhere ,, even job market and economy is sc--wed
They can fire you for the color underwear you wear!
@ar Maximum payout is 9 months
There are previous lay off folks who are still looking for jobs for more than 3 months. Good luck you all. The job market is great !!! Probably 80% would have left Ford by now, if they could.
Severance!!
They can't just get rid of you without paying it unless you do something egregious. If you've been here for 10 years you'll get > 1year of severance
If you don't get that then talk to a lawyer and sue
It opens up August 18, afaik early talks are not allowed.
Feedback or no feedback, it does not matter. Our LL5 labelled everyone inconsistent, including the supervisor. I learned that LL4 gave him inconsistent too. Everyone was gone basically... Nobody is at Ford anymore. LL4 was an arrogant pr--k.
There was no mid year feedback for a lot of people so far this year...which probably means layoffs are looming.
Yep, just like family.
They can fire you at any time, for any reason.
