Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Rumored layoffs in August

Anything new on that front? Given that the next round is expected to be massive, you'd think we’d know more by now. Or maybe not?

They make all those execs in the know sign NDAs now. You won’t hear anything except made-up stuff.

@b0 There will still have to be an announcement of it during the earnings call. The $100M they still have available won't touch the required expense of the coming LRs. The layoffs done in Q1FY25 cost between $700M and $800M. They will announce layoffs (a large number) during the earnings call on Aug 13, and notifications will start in the US and other places on Aug 14. Lists are nearly nearly final now, and notifier training will start next week.

You all really should take the time to READ the earnings report. As published at Q3 call. The board still has/had approx 100M left from what they set aside at the end of FY24 for "restructuring" and they expect to finalize the use of those funds thru Q1FY26.

The dont need to announce ANYTHING as they have already notified investors.

Typically announced during earnings calls; the Q4/FY25 call will be Aug. 13.

@a3 - The job market is abysmal right now. Figure people are just trapped.

@OP - literally all conjecture. Haven’t heard a single rumbling. And way too many trolls on this site to give any real insight. The earnings call will reveal more than this forum ever could.

Why does anyone with talent tie their future to this barnacle-encrusted shipwreck?
