If you were just laid off, I know how overwhelming it feels right now, but take a breath and start moving one step at a time. I applied to over 100 jobs when it happened to me, and it took a while, but I ended up with multiple interviews and three solid offers. Tailor your resume with keywords from each job post, and try applying directly on company websites as well as sites like Indeed. I’d also recommend looking outside your usual industry. One of my offers came from a completely different field and I wouldn’t have considered it before.
If you can, take care of yourself during this time too. Even a short break to reset can help more than you think. I wish I’d taken more time off before jumping into the next role. This might feel like the end of something, but it can also be the start of something better. Stay focused, stay open, and make decisions that are right for you.
