We've managed to survive another round, and in the process, we've rid ourselves of all those pesky newcomers who actually thought they had to work hard to earn their pay. You know, the ones who foolishly believed that talent and dedication would be rewarded. Ha! We know the secret to success around here: doing just enough to not get fired. We'll continue to support each other, and revel in the fact that we've outlasted those naive go-getters who thought they could change the system. May our underachieving union endure until the dust settles and we're the last ones standing (or sitting, or browsing YouTube)..."

Long, long ago when I was first hired at Intel, I'd been there for maybe a week. A coworker (an old timer) & I walked into a training room to set it up for a class. There was an employee sleeping on the floor between the tables. He had his shirt off and was using it for a pillow. My coworker just said "oops, sorry!" and backed us out of the room. He saw the look on my face and just said I'd get used to it.
