Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Recall Farley!

His time is up. He's run this company in the ground.

Let's look at his damage:

  • Market share continues to slip
  • Profits way down
  • Record recalls three years running
  • Billions spent on EVa and subscription services with no results
  • Employee morale at an all time low
  • RTO after abandoning several buildings
  • Can't launch a new model or refresh without delaying it for months
  • Mass exodus due to constant layoff threats
  • No accountability at the LL2+ levels even when there's are major fails (FNV2)

There should be a huge outcry from the rank and file until he's ousted. And most of his hires are too.

@154 if he realized nobody gives a sh-t about racing, we would be so much better off

@OP. While I agree that Fartley should go, or even more, I would say Ford should not had hiring him in the first place, I am guessing that like many other CEOS about to leave, the BoD will use him as the scapegoat for the upcoming lay offs. So if October is his last day, as per @a4+1jzx8je8b, expect massive layoffs before September.

And in the mean time, Mulally has been sitting in Seattle sipping on pina coladas and laughing his @ss off. When he left we had great products and record profits. Now we are a dumpster fire that cant build a car without a recall. The irony is hilarious.

Bro needs to go. He’s done his job of destroying morale. Dealers hate him, union loathes him, and he’s decided to ensure salaried can’t stand him as well.

@a4 You are assuming that Billy doesnt extend his contract. If Billy's edict was to reduce headcount, move as much work as he can overseas and get out of the ICE business, he's succeeding fantastically. One way, he gets extended. The other he gets a $50 million parachute.

@OP you left off Ford Next and it’s crowning achievement, Canopy Security, LLC, which had to refund all customers’ money and lost $200 million.
