Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

LBT is smart

They will be doing reviews earlier and forced to make many employees poor performers so they can lay off for performance and not pay severance.

If Andy were still here, a lot of people would be gone.

LBT is not Andy but he is trying to apply the same standard.

And that means a lot of people will be gone, over the next few years.

The current Hunger Games is merely the set up for the next one. Some of these changes will take considerable time to organize.

@dg People are being terminated without a package due to low performance.

Also, the timing of the reviews and subsequent layoffs is likely not a coincidence.

Feel free to discount the hysterical trolling that is all over this site, because that is just people trying to get a rise out of others.

None of that changes what the company is doing, which is a distinct shift from prior CEOs. This is part of how LBT manages companies and improves the overall quality of the workforce. In time you will see.

I don't believe any of you professinal specilators. You all said no packagees this time. Packages are the same. You sit around pretending you know what will happen and have been constantly wrong.

@ah Anyone who has been ISP may not need to worry about idling in the cafe surfing the internet, but IT and HR will go after you if you mess with your emails or files.

Delete nothing and don't use a flash drive or anything other than email to transfer emails or files to your personal account, or risk being summarily terminated with no package.

All emails are checked for IP and will be rejected if they contain any, but that might also get you in trouble so be careful with that.

Plenty of cases in the past where people thought they were helping by deleting old emails and files, only to be walked, and lose their severance in the process.

This is not trolling, but simply what IT and HR do during these worker-fun events.

Laying people off isn’t really some brilliant move by a master businessman. It’s very standard move for a new CEO to come in and clean house. You’re praising LBT for the most basic CEO strategy in the book.

Many low performers from the recent reviews were ISP and they get no package.

Even some who are ISP for business reasons are still being reviewed by HR for policy violations. They really dig into it every layoff session, resulting in someone almost daily losing their package and being summarily fired.

This is not fake news. Behave or else.

Rich does not always equal smart. He will doo whatever McKinsey and company tell him to do. They are experts at reducing a large workforce without getting sued.
