If you are so accountable for this mess happening on your watch then you write a personal check to pay for the consultants that you do not apologize for hiring to help “get us” out of this mess? Zero firm dollar regardless of where they come from should pay for the consultants you hired to help clean up the mess you admit you’re accountable for on your watch. Put your money where your mouth is.

You could see the lustful gaze on every ELT member’s face. These are awful people who will stab anyone in the back at any moment for their own advancement. So glad I am not part of this mess. The people I work with and myself can hold our heads up high.

People are coming after Penny’s job. I cannot see how she survives as MP. What a huge mistake naming her MP.

@c4 I would guess PP is defensive because she knows that she is on the hot seat. My guess is that many GPs feel negatively about her just like the rank and file employees. There are sharks on the ELT that would love to get her out of there to take her spot.

I would not be surprised in the least that when the house cleaning is done, PP is made to fall on her sword. She has been a disgrace to the Edward Jones name and if nothing else but public relations reasons, she has to leave for the firm to save face. (I also don't think it fixes much if she leaves, because she would just be replaced by someone on the current ELT.

Seriously why was P getting so defensive on stage yesterday? We are more profitable than ever yet she is the first managing partner to clean house? “We are doing this from a position of strength.” Tell me you are using management consulting jargon without telling me you are using managing consultant jargon. That’s how they sold you, wake up P. Are you that insecure?This is not EJ culture. It’s rotting away at the very top. It might be gone after that ELT performance yesterday. You let the fox into the hen house.

I remember a retired GP Ted talk. Times weren’t great and he recommended to Ted that they layoff some older employees that were contributing as much. Ted explained that those older employees had been there for EJ through the years and now it’s EJ’s time to be there for those employees.

PP never met Ted and it sounds like she never heard this story. This is what we mean when we say the culture is gone.
