According to our admin, the details are that the package will be a documents with words on it, but that's not important right now.

@d4 Those being terminated for IR or found to be violating company policy (remarkably easy to do) do not get a package.

It may be group specific, but some are being given 2 months notice instead of getting a package. This is usually where they are needed to help shut down the business or train their (outsourced or low cost geo) replacement.

Sure looks like the days of packages that serve as anything more than a couple month stipend to tide one over till they can get another job are gone.

This looks like the ESP from 2015. This time around it’s different. As Judge Smales put it “you’ll get nothing and like it”.

I had enhanced retirement in November. Numbers look right except for healthcare cash payout - not sure what that is. Did have the 20K "healthcare bonus". I had a friend reach out to me last week that is being let go - he said he received the package info in an email.

Last year, some (many) were able to opt in to ERP (Early Retirement Package) if they qualified, or VSP (Voluntary Separation Package). The ERP was guaranteed acceptance, the VSP was department-specific. My group happened to need to make some cuts, so my VSP was approved.

The talk for this round (June/July 2025) is that there is NO ERP and NO VSP, only ISP (Involuntary Separation Package) and that this package IS the same as last year's package that the VSP/ISP folks received.

But who could have seen this coming? There was no way to tell Intel was gonna do more layoffs after the last one….

That’s sarcasm, it should’ve been obvious to everyone, the writing was on the wall

Yeah, that ERP was the way to go.

Not saying You Shoulda Taken The Package, but maybe you should have.

Separation packages this time (and likely going forward) will not be for everyone.

It is group specific and may not include those who are terminated for being IR or for other performance reason.

You know, like sitting in the cafe all day on your phone, thinking of new, stupid ways to troll Intel on this site.

News Flash: that is not work.

@ OP STFU

Don't listen to OP. This was last year's package. There will be a standard package, not an enhanced one.

ERP is negotiable with your manager and/or VP. If you don't ask then you get regular package.

I’m not saying OP is full of sh-t, but every employee communication sent out so far had said Enhanced Retirement will not be offered this round.
