Accrued PTO (for hourly workers) must be paid out, regardless of what state you are in.
As salary do not have PTO (hence, the "about 3/4 weeks" in the handbook), they do not get paid out upon exit.

This was part of the justification for cutting back the sabbatical benefit.

@eh forgot to add the sabbatical and holiday pay. Even exempt employees usually carry over some amount of unused holiday pay from year to year.

@de a good question as not everyone has savings to get them by. Good news it was quick but in 2 phases. Last day was Nov 15th and I received last paycheck + Vacation Pay + Holiday + Sabbatical. Then Nov 30th was seperation pay.

@bb I believe you could consider it the WARN notice. It's the time you would haver normally been given to find another job inside of intel in the "pool"

@ba
yes I was one month short of a sabbatica and since I live in CA it is accrued so yes another almost 7 weeks of pay.

9 weeks for not going in the pool
8 weeks enhacnced
40 weeks for years of service so total 57 weeks.
+ 20K cash supposed to be for health care
+18 months of Cobra
+ all stock accelerated.
Taxes paid were very bad since left in Nov, Had a promo in 2024.

Package varies by country; try not to be quite so US-centric.

This is 2025, not 2024.

Intel will have to sell a couple of Fabs to fund these packages. Don't hold high hopes folks

Is the 9 weeks 60 day notice WARN or extra 9 weeks?
