Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Makes no sense

They laid off my manager - the most amazing, kind, and productive person I've ever worked with. Makes no sense. Just like everything else they do.

Honest person is hard to survive in Intel. People with integrity who do not kiss-a-s managers is hard to survive in Intel.

Intel is full of cheaters, liers and gansters.

Fake news. CCG has not yet started letting people know.

These type of emotions are understandable... Nobody wants to see another person laid off.

Your manager may very well have been productive. However, it might be productive in a function that Intel doesn't need... or maybe there are other managers that do the same thing and Intel doesn't need as many of those people anymore.

Anyway, you see the point. The only real way to deal with this is by using 100% rational logic. Emotions cloud one's judgment in the face of RIFs.

@OP
can you share biz group or location?
sorry to hear the news, as you must have had a good relationship with your manager, that is rare at Intel.
