When will Nike drop DEI?

It’s just a matter of time, no?

If they get rid of DEI… all of you will be unemployed.

We also have under qualified and undereducated directors with known clinical mental health and prescription dr-gs doping issues “manage” smart and normal people in the name of DEI. Way to milk DEI and make folks who could be making a positive difference to this company suffer. HRBPs are completely in on this and this is another can of worms in waiting. HR and Nike leaders: Making people with known mental disabilities in charge in the name of DEI is putting your colleagues, friends and reports in harms way and equals workplace harassment for many. Fix it before it is too late.

VPs had their compensation tied to hitting DEI quotas. That’s the problem.

Nike became the giant it is today without focusing on DEI. The gender or skin color of the people behind the greatest performance footwear and iconic marketing doesn’t impact the product’s quality. If you look at high-performance sports teams, do they focus on diversity in terms of gender, race, or s-xual orientation? Not really. Sure, there have been g-y athletes, and yes, successful basketball players of all races, but none of that was a deciding factor in being selected for those top-tier teams. So, why should corporate be any different? Why does Nike need to make DEI goals a priority and tie executive pay to meeting them? The focus should be on finding the most talented people who can create the best products that resonate with consumers. Period. This whole woke culture has warped thinking, pushing race and gender quotas in ways that infiltrated decisions in roles at all levels of the company. These DEI-led moves will have consequences, and it could take an entire generation to undo the damage caused by prioritizing diversity over capability.
