I made it clear to management that my main motivation is money. My output and compensation are proportional. On a medium-sized team, I’m either the best or second best. I work 45-50 hours minimum per week. Even though I'm salaried I keep track of how much I work to avoid burnout. My team hasn’t been offshored entirely, and no one is learning what I do yet. With management turnover on the horizon and writing on the wall I expect it will happen within the next few years. We’ve suffered attrition with no backfills, and my strategy for the added workload has been longer lead times.
One thing that caught my attention was the estimated stock price on the comp statement. The 30-day average hasn’t been that high recently.
3 years ago I was a JL 5 MT in AME Malta My base salary was around $91k annually. (Probably why I was laid off 😆) They are underpaying you by a massive amount.
GFS salaries fluctuate enormously for the same job role/band. Always ask your manager where you are in your job level band. Once you hit 50%+, you need a promotion.
