GSSO Dedicated TSAs Going Away

Your GSSO Americas VP of Sales and SED has decided to reduce the number of TSAs. This is another way they are trying to back end into Click 2 Expert by starving the field of dedicated TSAs. My RM has told our team that the TSAs are going to be reduced and we need to start getting use to using Click 2 Expert. The GSSO Americas SED has promised that he will make Click 2 Expert a reality one way or another in GSSO. Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, now we will no longer have dedicated TSAs. I thought there was investment from the company into security.

VW and his lies on Gold Rush then unwilling to acknowledge and take ownership is going to result in several of us leaving soon. No respect for a VP that can’t be transparent nor take responsibility for what they said. Several thought VW might have done the right thing after JS did the right thing on iACV. Unfortunately, VW is not a real leader and is unwilling to stand up and be accountable. There are going to be a lot of CSS openings soon.

My company is mostly cloud with over 25K employees, when we went out to search for security solutions, Cisco did not come up in any of the conversations. Cisco is a great networking company with excellent routers and switches but it is not a name that comes up when talking about information security.

There are other excellent security companies that one should consider going. GSSO is in disarray and that cannot be denied. All GSSO headcount is frozen while the competition is hiring. One of the reasons that the security competition is growing is due to a competent sales strategy which GSSO does not have. VW lies to the field about Gold Rush and is not held accountable. He will not accept responsibility or take ownership of it. It is a disgrace.

Customers want relationships and MK’s direction of reducing TSAs and pooling them is another disaster. MK will not disappoint EK. I agree with the poster that MK cannot be trusted. If I were a CSS or a TSA, I would look to the competition. This does not end well. CSSs will not have a dedicated TSA and TSAs will not make money in the C2E and Agile TSA model. This is going to cause another wave of departures from CSSs and TSAs.

Now there is this big focus on selling Firewall. Another disastrous decision. All because EC wants to show that she is the one that can beat PAN. Our competition is beyond the selling security 101 playbook.

PAN is a sweat shop. Several ex-colleagues left for PAN but Don’t know anyone who survived there for more than a couple of years.

TSA and PSS are overhead in terms of competency, skills and contribution. Always fly on the wall in terms of overlay empire family. They might be screwing own careers.

PAN here. We are still hiring and we will not put you into a socialist Click2Expert pool where you can’t make money and have no career path. We give you a quota along with your AM, and the both of you have the opportunity to drive your business and make money. Also, you have a nice expense budget and are allowed to travel, take customers out to lunch, dinner, sporting events, and more. We have a real leadership that minimizes admin BE that allows our AMs and SEs to focus on driving the business. Many know your SED and he is only about his next career move regardless of the business damage he does. He will say all the right things but DO NOT TRUST him. He is reducing the number of TSAs and OP is probably right that it is due to his commitment to put TSAs in Click2Expert regardless. If you have any doubt, ask those in the field from the EN side where he came from.

@lmy+1iLKFLMP without your TSA crutch you’ll have to actually learn to do your job.

If Click 2 Expert is so bad for business why is it that the EN, DC and MIG teams who've been using it for the past 2 years are all outperforming Security in bookings and growth?

Stop with the pride and sell the business to the highest bidder.

As a CSS it is time to start looking at the competition. They really did us wrong last year and now we have MK who is bent on taking dedicated TSAs away from us. Our RM says that things are going to get worse based on what MK wants to do with the TSAs. We are being told by our RM that MK is trying to please the VP of the C2E without regard to the impact of driving the security business.

Where is the security cloud? Other Sec Tech companies have been selling security cloud services for half a decade and Cisco does not even have a horse in the race.

Let’s be real. Security doesn’t generate much revenue. We spend way too much time and money on it.

It's really much worse than that.

Not only are the TSAs going to Click 2 Expert but they're also all being relocated to RTP which will be closed down soon.

@OP "I thought there was investment from the company into security."

Look at the leadership. SS is just a notch above MM as a public speaker. Say what you will about GR when he led Security, but he was a dynamic speaker and presenter.

Hard to be a competitor in Security when the company was recently hacked.
