I came to this company when I could no longer stand the toxic atmosphere in my former company. And what happened next? All those people I literally ran away from, backstabbers, gossip lovers, arrogant mediocrities, they all slowly moved over here.
Now I have a feeling that I am in that old company again.
It’s my personal problem and has nothing to do with layoffs, but I can’t believe how many companies don’t take care of and sanction people who spread bad vibes, because it ultimately affects the company more than me personally. I can always go somewhere else again.

Toxicity is coming from people that were friends with first CTO and continuously played games and are overpaid... PMO, software, hardware... all bunch of corrupt people that sunk rezi

Look in the mirror first. What you hate in others is probably what you are. How about you leave and go pollute another company?
There’s good and bad people at each of the offices. Try to find and enjoy the good ones while you’re here and ignore the c-appy ones as best as possible. There are still people here trying to make things better, so try to make a difference where you can and you never know.
If not, you can always grow as an employee and a professional from the bad environments even if it’s learning how not to act. May as well get the best out of your time here before it’s time for the next job.
@OP, these people you describe are experts at "managing up". They know how to appease and please the right people so that they can get away with being scum to everyone else. My advice to you is to get out and find something you can enjoy. Nothing worse than waking up every morning and dreading the work day.
