Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Will Christina Minardi be held responsible for NYC weights and measures scandal and her extravagant spending of company money?

This woman needs to be held responsible. She knew of weights and measures discrepancies and under her leadership the NE region was exposed which snowballed into this. She spends wayyyy too much company money on expensive hotels, "work parties"

She is an egomaniac, narcissistic, monster. She is commonly known to favor women of the same sexuality, many of whom she promoted into higher roles beyond their capability and are now throughout the company.

When will Walter Robb or John Mackey put a stop to her reign of terror?

How did you manage to dig this dead thread out of the trash heap?
Your whole reply was nothing but bluster.

Wow, lot of people here on the Hate Train.
Perhaps you were all / are sh---y at your job.
Not sure of the players involved, but this board is walking a thin line towards discrimination. Hence everyone staying anonymous. Does it make you feel powerful?
There is a strong sense of entitlement in all these replies.

Work ethic comes from a desire to earn what you want or need.
Laziness is another big reason many people have such a poor work ethic.

Some people would rather put in little effort or have someone else do the work for them but still reap the rewards.

Getting over a feeling of entitlement can take some time, and it may require therapy.

Seeing how those who are less fortunate than you live can also help change your views.

Volunteering at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter can give you an idea of how those who can’t work live.

This can motivate you to want to work harder and help improve your work ethic.

And while you are at it, get off the Hate Train

But I digress

Minardi is a mess. Have been on store walks with her for years. Never once did she acknowledge a customer, or a team member she wasn't ordering around. Constantly followed by her team of "yes" lackeys. She does not have the intelligence to lead in a positive manner, so so tries to rule by intimidation. This is borne out by her appointees, the "g– mafia," who are no threat to her grade-school mind and appointed because of their submissive attitude toward her and their top-down approach to all at store level. Morale was at rock-bottom by the time she left and was kicked upstairs to CEN (WFM HQ). Nothing but contempt for her and her crew.

It's a shame how much money is wasted in th NE Region. The STL s are paid 6 figures to sit on their rears, send mean emails all day while the store collapses under their noses

Nepotism rampant at (un-named) Region too. It's not a gay thing or a straight thing, just flat out favoritism toward wives, husbands, ex-wives, fellow bible-thumpers, old Wild Oats or Harry's Farmers Market beer and "Colorado" (haha) buddies from wayyyyyy back in the day, essentially people who have no business running a lemonade stand. These clowns are good at four things: looking important, making bad decisions, being wildly inaccurate and throwing competent people under the bus. Oh wait, and being utterly unable to take even the most gentle suggestions and constructive criticism. The tares and pricing issues are all over the place not just SP and NE. And the inconsistencies continue: different containers, different scales, different tares, different training, different types of combined teams. The ordering systems, catalogs, all a huge mess. Every regional website is different in regard to layout, operational procedures, positions and policies. Why does this matter? Because we can't LEARN anything from each other on a nationwide scale. They can't even get the layoff details right. It's just one epic fail after another. Meanwhile, Uncle Walter earns $2.5 million annually and according to the financial press, shareholders unfortunately authorized double the shares be available for splits and accelerated options vesting.. for Uncle Walter and other execs. IMO the man is a sociopath and his co-CEO is the Ozzy Osborne of the grocery industry. Just totally mumbling and out to lunch. These changes hurt the shareholders overall although one powerful shareholder tried his best to put a stop to it. Also it was NOT close to unanimous. The SEC even overruled the board earlier this year when they tried to ram these changes through without a vote! Everyone is now in service of Uncle Walter's unquenchable thirst for money and the Board and EC are stacked with his allies. Until he's gone, expect more of the same. Next up I predict the remaining TLs will have to manage multiple teams at multiple stores. Just a thought.

The EC you mentioned sleeping around goes way beyond the Bakery AC- try the Coordinator and a very long list of others- including minor TM"s - all of which was covered up. He's a pig - but he's cute so they keep him around- lots more tidbits folks- keep it coming

My 2 cents - do not use names as the admins nuke posts like that. I think what you are saying is OK, it's just that I've seen many posts with names disappear. They can also sue you for defamation.
