Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

State Farm Agent commercials

We all due respect, those commercials are annoy the c-ap out of me, and I think it undermines the agent and the brand. I’m actually from claims and I see what that agents are going through, I know a couple of State Farm agents. I always had a philosophy when I worked there, we are one State Farm. Leave it to Tipper let’s make everything more difficult for the agents and the employees

Let's reboot the commercial where the agent is a scuba diver, fire chief, town marshall, dog catcher and male prostitute. That one would be hilarious too.

That Super Bowl commercial was cringe level 1000! Cut and paste from an almost 10 year old commercial instead of reshooting the whole thing. We have to admire your commitment to beating a dead horse. Why can't your new spokesman be named something completely different rather than Jake from State Farm?

#NotMyJake

Hate or like, there is nothing memorable about State Farm commercials.
Flo, Jamie and Emu are stupid, but memorable. More people talk about them because they remember them. That is what makes a successful ad. Being stupid is also why there may be a new number 1 soon.

Super Bowl commercial made me sad. Old, outdated, not forward looking. GEICO and Progressive are running circles around this once proud Company.

Flo, Jamie, Emu, and you think SF commercials are bad?
Who's the audience these days, 12 year olds?

Marketing and data. Every company doing the same thing and using same sold and expensive plug in systems and data and rules. Calling it competition. Game. We are use to the personalized marketing and “artificial intelligence”. It’s all artificial and lots of hand hands in the same pot.

There aren’t any more original ideas so let’s bring “Jake” back into the ring? Pretty lame.

It's really easy to get on here and b–ch about everything being done. It's not so easy to actually come up with the right solutions. Sadly, having a huge army of employees occupying expensive real estate again will not work. The customer has shown that they clearly will not bear that expense in their premiums.
So–who here actually has solutions?

@2bnh....I talk to agents for our competitors all the time. They're going through pretty much the same things that we are. Just scroll up and click Allstate, or American Family, or Farmers and you'll feel like you haven't left this board. The only real difference is that they haven't been #1 for 80 years so they aren't panicked about losing that.

“A Fake Jake”.......smh, I’m wondering if Tippy is trying sink the company on purpose with the stupid commercials, declining employee morale, etc......oh and I know some people who work for our competitors are they are talking about what’s going on at State Farm and what they are saying it’s not good.

I wince and cringe every time I see a SF commercial, mostly because I have such contempt for what has become of the company. Not only am I a longtime employee, I'm also a longtime policyholder. My resolve for 2020 is to move all my personal business to another insurer, and find employment elsewhere. SF does not care about me as an employee and/or a as policyholder. They do not deserve me in any capacity, and I definitely tell all my family and friends that SF does not deserve them either!
