Looking at GM engineering jobs they kind of started putting average/ expected salaries for some postions such as below:
Mid-Career Professional - Median salary is $88,667 Senior Career Professional - Median salary is $109,283.
Any udea what is mid career professional at GM? 5 years exp? 7 years? 10 years??
Heck, Ford is rolling out ridiculous salaries for new hires with no experience as they are in LOVE with youth and think they are getting something for it. No kidding, doling out salaries for new college graduates, no experience at mid 90k. They are id--ts so get in line. Word to the wise, hire in on some type of FCG undergrad or MBA program and you are on the promotion path regardless if you are an id--t. They are clueless and will pay for nothing. If you are on a "program", you automatically go to the front if the line no matter your performance. The greatest free pass ever. I am on one of these programs and I literally have to do nothing and they trip all over themselves to give me opportunities, pay raises and promotions. Best gig ever while I pass over people that actually know what they are doing but Ford values me more for doing nothing.

That's good to know. I started in mid 2017 at $88K and I'm at $97K 4.5 years later. It looks like I'm lagging.
There is no guarantee you'll get more than cost of living. Hard work isn't really what moves your career forward at General Motors. It just makes taking vacations days harder.
I started at GM IT in mid 2017 at $65k, now at $109.5k. A little faster progression that average, but average would still sit at $85-95k after 4 years.
