@7etu... its called sarcasm... we know they are macys employees... disgruntled employees ....who judge all decisions like they run their own successful company

And with a curfew at 10pm for Purple tiered counties in California.... I think that means you have to be home by 10pm. What the heck are you guys thinking???

Replying to @7hbu. WHAT? Just read through all posts and cannot understand why you think the commenters do not work for Macy’s? In my mall, both anchor stores are open before and after mall hours.

Wow some really great observations on this post.....we could really use you all at macys, but clearly you dont work at macys since you are most likely running your own successful businesses during this pandemic... please share some of your business successes so i can run them by the board

We have a Bloomingdales at the other end of our mall, which, as you know is owned by Macy's. So why is Macy's always open late while our sister-store closes when the mall closes? This is really a rhetorical question because Macy's is always open during snow storms when every other store in the mall, including Bloomingdales has sent their workers home. It's like being the unloved step-child. How about some parity, or at least some feigned concern for us grunts manning the front lines during this pandemic... close when the mall closes.

Our mall has LONGER hours than our Macy's store! The mall opens an hour earlier and closes an hour later than we do, except on weekends when we are the same. Only day we are open more is on Sundays, we are open one hour later and it's like a morgue in our store. Who are the idjits making these decisions? Even before COVID its been a waste of payroll for YEARS to be open so late during Q4.

To any Macy’s executives reading this, please adjust the holiday hours. With everything going on with covid there is no reason to be out shopping at 10pm! Please match the mall hours.

If your state has a 10pm curfew and your store is staying open until or past curfew, you should send a note to your local government letting them know that Macy's has chosen to close at curfew and place their employees at risk and cause them to be on the roads after curfew. It is clear that the company is more concerned with making a few extra bucks by staying open as late as possible, even if Covid cases are exploding in the area. Thanks Jeff, perhaps we can have another Pulse survey to see how we feel about Retail Lives Matter. Here's a suggestion, how about eliminating the PTG bonus and implementing a H20 Survivor bonus program.

Sears did the same thing. Makes absolutely no business or common sense.

My state has a 10 pm curfew and my Macys is still open until 10 pm, and later coming up soon for the holiday hours.

Just pure desperation. If there aren't enough sales to cover the wages of the store workers then they're literally burning cash.
