Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

What an exciting place to work in Schenectady.

Management drama, union drama, it almost seems like a collapse is coming. I feel bad for all the new unskilled new hires.

Saying that the FBI “debriefed” and “exonerated” the company and union before the investigation is completely over is ridiculous. Thinking those with a brain would believe that is funnier. “Individuals” were working for and representing the company and union when crimes were committed, their positions within those facilities allowed them to commit said crimes. Therefore, the company and union are absolutely liable. Corporate not knowing what specific individuals were doing in branched out locations does not leave them free from culpability. Especially when many people reached out and tried to tell the company and the union for months what was going on only yo be not properly acknowledged or completely ignored. One amoral individual fooled so many. Again, I would have thought it’s common knowledge. You believe what you want to believe, only time will tell. It’s going to be exciting, that is a guarantee.

You fools are making this more and more exciting. You can’t make this sh-t up. Literally handing over info/evidence to a contact for years, telling membership in the only way possible, warning membership what’s really going on because of so many lies, and a few clowns still say, “Naw, not happening. Them good guys.” THIS is exactly why the company and union were able to get away with so much. The intelligence level in Schenectady is dangerously low. Lucky for you guys there are a few of us who see how badly we’re being screwed. Can’t wait until they’re ready to move, it will be a surprise despite the warnings. Keep being who you are, this is great entertainment.

@9ikm+1g9ZXBlA, I'm telling you there maybe individual charges, but the Union/GE relationship will prove to have no charges of any significance. You are 100% right that a criminal under investigation wouldn't get the courtesy of an FBI debrief, but a party that did (HINT, HINT , HINT, like GE or the IUE-CWA Int'l) if exonerated would. Wake up!

Exactly. I can’t tell if they are completely clueless or if it’s one of them trying to convince themselves that they’re not fcked. This investigation snowballed and peeled back years of dirty deeds between both union and company. All the corruption that the past BA’s and P’s were able to hide has been undone by the most recent exBA and current P. At least the past BA’s and P’s cared about the membership, the most recent exBA and current P only care about themselves. They don’t give a fck about what happens to the membership, they like our money though. They are who ruined the union and will sure as sh-t sing like birds and cry like babies to try to save themselves and take down all the guys before them.

Let me get this straight, an “insider” of the exact places that federal agents have been investigating for 3 years thinks he/she knows what the outcome of the current open criminal investigation will be. Wow. That would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. I hate to break it to you but you don’t know anything about the investigators have been doing. You don’t know what they’ve been investigating for 3 years. Actually, as an “insider” of the target of the investigation, you might have been misled to think like this so that your guard is down, which is exactly what they like to do. It makes their job easier. Telling the target of the investigation exactly what they’re investigating and giving updates on how it’s going is absolutely not how criminal investigations work. Not even a little bit. The agents collect their evidence and make an air tight case prior to the target knowing that they’re a target. They don’t tell people or companies that they’re looking at them for serious sh-t until the case is made, it’s air tight, and it’s “go time.” I’ve learned a lot in the past few years but I thought that part was somewhat common knowledge. Believe me or not, I don’t care. But wow, think about it, google it for God sakes. You know nothing, ESPECIALLY as the target of a federal criminal investigation.

@8yrc+1g9ZXBlA. I'm none of the initials you mentioned above. Kind of an insider on IUE-CWA/GE relations, I'll leave it at that. I'm telling you with 100% certainty that there will be no wrong doing found between GE and the Union. Personal charges being swept up as to ex-officers, maybe.

Gotta love it, $ 10's of millions involved in UAW/Chrysler matter and you suggest this could be bigger than that of "big corporations". You embarrass yourself. As Mr T once said, "pity the fool".

I honestly think it has less to do with GE and more to do with Schenectady. A long time ago, Schenectady used to attract talent and intelligent intellect from regions far away. Not anymore. Those days have been over for decades. All that's been left are the crumbs to pick upon. Can't come up with anything decent when that's all you have to choose from. This whole area is a pit of despair. We have been reduced to the point where we eat our own just to survive.
