So many stories of #metoo at Verizon. We need to come forward and change the harassing culture that is so prevalent in retail! Why doesn’t HR or leadership care? Why do they cover up complaints? We need to unite and allow our voice to be heard that we will not take the harrasment. Post your story on FB! Go to the press!!

Here's a different kind of #meetoo. Promoting incompetent women in the former Walden org. There are some seriously unqualified people making a mess of things because Walden made it her mission. Anyone who works there knows who and what I'm talking about.
It seems that subject matter expertise was secondary in some cases. The argument was that working the organization was more important than knowing what you're doing. So bad ideas, so long as they are accepted, is the metric.
Short term gain for long term pain.
HR doesn't give a sh-- about you. There job is to protect the company so they will do whatever it takes to protect DM's and above. Anyone else who complains might as well be on the way out cause nothing else is happening. Need to start reporting to Dan for HR issues cause nothing is happening elsewhere. Wipe the HR team and start fresh. Wipe the DM team start fresh.
VZW gets enough bad press. They will do what it takes to keep out of the 'bad' news cycle.
I can't imagine any of these things happening at such a fine company. If they were I'm sure it would be stopped immediately and there would be severe repercussions.
So you don't like how your boss conducts themselves. Fine, welcome to "working." If you've been s-xually harassed, report it, if not then STFU.
The Solution and GM Managers job description: Make the store a caustic environment, show up and hang out for 8 hours, come and go as they please but make sure one is always there ( just in case), look at their computer screen for 8 hours, take a conference call then leave for home at 330 in the afternoon, tell customers we still have tech support in the stores while trying not to engage any customers and make them wait for the staff to tell them that we don't , collect a paycheck and commission check, take 1 to 2 hour lunches,( most are on Lunch for 8 Hours) This was only a brief description. You can write a book.
HR is not there to protect you they are company fixtures. Don’t be fooled!
Good luck on reporting a manager in retail.
