Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Is this a place where one can make a career?

I am interested in what those who have been here for several years or more will have to say.

@dgys-you were the one counting votes in your earlier post. Maybe look in a mirror? Also, please no more fortune cookie quotes-no one wants them and no one needs them.

@9syc It's not about votes rather truth. Learn it.

Get the experience and a free education say a couple of years then run for the hills as fast as you can.

@8rkp-apparently your post does not speak volumes based on the votes you track….maybe talk about your life some more hahahahaha

When I started it was absolutely a place to have a long and fulfilling career. Over the last 10 years, I cannot recommend SF to anyone as a place to work anymore. I have told my own kids to stay away.

I care less about what others say. As long as I am in good with my family and the Lord, I'm good. Especially from unethical people. They have no say in my life and can never take our freewill.

@6mfn Thanks for your concern about my kids but no need to worry. They make more money at McDonalds than starting pay at SF with better benefits and less stress. Plus the CEO is not f#cking ever admin assist he can get his hands on.

@4jad Really? You are delusional. Never once was there a mention of termination to me nor was it ever in writing. I would have never mentioned I retired over a decade ago because it would be a lie. I got the last laugh. Admit that! Oney.....Hey Oney! LOL

@4imm-you have admitted several times you “retired” over a decade ago. Your old TM and SM recognize your writing style and your comments. Which is one of several reasons you were given a chance to retire early…..

@3lsa Wrong! Not over a decade and never a mention of termination. LOL at ignorance.

@3lsa Time for lawsuit. Discovery would be interesting and could lead to defamation and libel. If I were @3fbx.

@3fbx hasn’t worked at SF in over decade. Took retirement over termination according to his shield.

@1otr prison guard who labels everyone as inmates. Typical of SF leadership. No you aren't better than anyone else in this world.

Let’s see the OP is considering SF for employment so their first thought is to go on a site for disgruntled and ex-employees. Maybe next stop is to contact inmates at a prison and ask them about a career in law enforcement.

Typical of some. If they dont like what they hear, all they can do is namecall and throw a fit especially when someone speaks truth. If you think claims is a career path, you are delusional. Its not and thats a fact. Those up top need to feed a family and live off CS and CA salary for a year. They wouldnt be able to do it.

Stay away from claims, the turnover is so bad that they are not allowing people to transfer out, that’s all of claims. We need to clean house with claims leadership. They are the constant that never gets better.

It used to be, but I wouldn't count on it anymore.

A few years ago there was the transformation where there were a good amount of people let go and paid out into early retirement. Then the HCL rebadging in March of this year that affected 1000+ employees who may not have a job come March 2024. Rumors of layoffs/restructuring in another department and also rumors of other departments being rebadged.

depends on the department. If you do administrative or back office type work, the answer is no.
