@6kyf+1msNGYvA No network vendors are innovating. It’s a solved problem. They’re just shipping more solid code, providing better support, and doing little things to make running and troubleshooting the networks easier. But other than hosting the software for customers, it’s basically the same as two decades ago.
Not cool trashing Brad Reese. He was a good guy (RIP), and did a good job uncovering the LR messes at Cisco.
Funny that today I witnessed community colleges vote to remove Cisco certs from their curriculum nationwide. This shows just how worthless Cisco certs are now. You are far better off getting an education or chasing Network and Security plus certs over being certified on Cisco products. Mark my words Cisco will follow the path of Nortel. Your execs party like there is no tomorrow but how much innovation do you really see today? You can just buy the tests and cheat like many of the cert holders do.
CCIE is still somewhat respected because it is inherently hard to cheat the lab but the value is locked to Cisco customers and gear. Do you really want to lock yourself into that corner in todays market when people are ABC?
why the hate? Let it go! A rotten fruit will fall by itself.
Lol I was only at Csco 2.5 yrs. My internship at Arista then 7 yrs between Palo Alto and Fortinet made them hired me. Many of their customers dumping Csco for better solutions in Data Center and Security..
I was impacted last Dec LR, I joined a competitor a month ago
As I always said: with Cisco on your resume, you will always find a job ... even during a cold job market! :D
yes move on guys! I was impacted last Dec LR, I joined a competitor a month ago. What a difference. Night and Day. No more toxic workplace. More diversity, welcoming, and respect is there.
Living well is the best revenge. Move on from Cisco politics.
