Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Athina induced chaos at PepsiCo

Athina’s leadership at PepsiCo has created a culture of confusion, impacting all aspects of the organization, from AOP planning to execution, staffing to organizational design. It would be beneficial for the company's well-being if she were to transition to a new opportunity, allowing PepsiCo to transform into a more positive and productive work environment.

Ramon should fire Athina and hire an AI. It can do the job same half-a** way, maybe better than her

Indra, like it or not, had a strategic mind and had a way with people, when in the spotlight and behind closed doors. Athina is thirsty for power, unnecessarily ruthless and brazen, she is the outlier in the PEC. No charisma like Yuen, no wits like Ram's, no business accumen like Steven's, no carreer to inspire such as Paula's, she's neither a storyteller like Jane or a strategist like so many other GMs, she has no professional stature compared to her peers, she is unprepared and lost when she talks, an empty shell, smoke and mirrors, just like her new S&T org.

If Indra were to see Athina's AOP she would have already kicked her out, pulling numbers from a magic ball and asking the markets to pay for her id--tic software company.

I can't grasp why Ramon protects her after years of lackluster performance. There must be something more to it.

Athina lacks the originality and strategic depth to lead a duck to water.

She’s clearly trying to set herself up as the next CEO by mimicking Indra’s story down to the last detail.

Both started in consulting and led PepsiCo's corporate strategy. But to Indra’s credit (which, as any long-timer would agree, is a difficult thing to say), Athina hasn't brought any original ideas to the table.

If Indra’s mentioned something at any point in her career, you can bet Athina has covered the same topic in the exact same way in her own interviews.

She’s determined to stay at the helm until the company collapses, having spent years unchecked, building a bloated and inefficient organization through her hiring practices and creation of silos, ultimately driving up costs and driving away customers with uncompetitive pricing. She’s a spy from Coca Cola who’ll lead us to bankruptcy and then leave

The damage is done. Even if she were to leave now, you have lost so much knowledge via attrition it will never be the same.
