Keep on the path of outsourcing and low cost labour to achieve a better profit margin for the shareholders, and that ever increasing dividend, see where that gets you. FOCUS ON THE CUSTOMER.

Only speculation on my part, but I could see some plant and warehouse consolidation after the health care spinoff. I know our plant has been dead for the past couple months. No sense of urgency to get lines up and going or make up lost production. Apparently we have excess inventory. Looking forward to surviving this next round of cuts and seeing what the new CEO has in mind to set 3M back on track.
So, globally all CBG & SIBG are about 40k fte, 3% is then 1200. Not bad as for first transformative activity under new ceo. However, I suppose the cuts will not impact plants but white collar only. And only middle range - 13 to 15jg. Thoughts?

I know a person in safety who is being let go. He was clued in 4 weeks ago this was happening and his number was up. Young guy who had a global role.
3% is nothing. We can take out entire departments! Anyone over 30 years with the company must be culled!!
Came to know of the global CI VP- JohnKim has left. Anyone knows if he resigned or is being cut off?
Seems like the new CI initiative (replacing previous LSS) is not working any differently
Maybe it's 3% of VP's being cut. New CEO might have all the current VP's shaking in their boots.

If they cut Peter instead of listening to hi, 3M could save a lot, millions of wasteful spending on consultants that repeat the same Stratagies over and over.

Layoffs pending. Thanks OP for insight; now we know. 3M HR only reports history and those reports often include obvious gaslighting and seldom include details or facts.
That's wimpy. Child play. Bill Brown needs to be more bold. This is why he needs to listen more to Peter. If you aren't cutting at least 10 percent, then you are a coward.

Cuts to what? Current workforce? Hiring budgets? Admerch budgets? Manufacturing real estate? Coffee pod flavors?
Could mean a lot of things.
