Have you looked at Tesla. Apparently they’ve “found” demand in the public. Lol

"scaling of EVs which she has committed to, promised then failed, yes failed to execute"

No.
In terms of execution, we have many saleable Electric Vehicles.
You can't blame scale on Mary. For that you need to look to the public.
To scale a vehicle, it needs to sell. She has made the case and the folks in Engineering and Manufacturing created the vehicles. And, I think we did a fine job of it.
GM will sell a million Electric Vehicles when the public buys them.
"If You Build it, They Will Come" is a fallacy. We built the cars but the public doesn't want them. Aside from that, it costs General Motors tends of thousands in losses every time they produce and sell an EV.

A logical, reasonable person would ask if this is smart strategy to continue building and offering cars that the majority doesn't want, can't afford and cost the corporation millions to produce.<<<<<

"MB has consistently mislead and perjured the strategy and direction objectives"
Not to be petty, but how does one perjure a strategy?
Do you know what that word means?

"false EXCUSES that there is no demand"
Can you demonstrate demand for one million GM electric vehicles?
I would like to see that.

Cadillac sells to elderly Midwesterners with a lot of money.

Tell me that MB has consistently mislead and perjured the strategy and direction objectives of GM over the past several years.

Tell me that “led the way” in the manufacturing and scaling of EVs which she has committed to, promised then failed, yes failed to execute.

Tell me she hasn’t irresponsibly invested billions into stock buybacks to artificially pump up the value of GM and her own portfolio btw instead of investing into leaner and more efficient manufacturing of EVs?

Tell me that she hasn’t simply executed or achieved her goals and objectives of 1 million EVs annually and being the EV leader without false EXCUSES that there is no demand.

Tell me why she has all but lost market share in China while another “American” competitor continues to outsell their products over a Chinese competitor

There’s a lot more.

MB has failed miserably as a true leader but most definitely is successful as a politician.

Go ahead, tell me….

Mary’s issued PIP:

  1. Ship more US jobs overseas.
  2. Hire in more new college hires for the tax credits:
    A. Give them a GM -/PIP within 6 months.
    B. Let them go in gradual cuts.
  3. Wash, Spin, Repeat.
  4. Issue more stock buybacks to make the SLT happier.
  5. At APM, tell employees how much profitable GM’s EVs are.
  6. Tell GM employees that GM does not have any more future plans for layoffs.
  7. Educate all employees that having everyone in the office 5 days a week is more productive than working any days working from home.
  8. Start charging employees for on campus toiletries.
  9. Emphasize to employees how much affordable food/drinks at on-campus food vendor are.
  10. Require all GM employees to buy 10 vehicles/year since newly arriving immigrants are buying and driving nothing than new Toyotas and Honda products.
  11. Tell all employees they have nothing to complain about.

The generalizations are not productive for quality conversations.
Focus your anger on the fact that Mary put an EV sale quaifier on your bonus knowing she was losing tens of thousands with every EV sale.

My gosh, the younger generations that are in denial of reality and need to learn the hard way lol.

Anyways, Cadillac is a luxury brand and caters to a segment that has tended to switch to EVs sooner. Plus most Cadillacs are lower volume. To say because Cadillac is selling EV, Chevrolet, GMC and Buick will at the same rate is a stretch at best. This isn’t partisan and the usual lefty, intolerant insults to opposing views or data won’t change that.

God, the boomers on this board. The Lyriq now outsells all the gas models Cadillac makes except for the Escalade. Don't believe the FUD on EVs from the bitter right-wing nut jobs.

It can't hide it's lyin' range
And it's silence is a thin disguise (for thermal event).
I thought by I'd realize this is money not well spent.
There ain't no way to hide it's lyin' range

On the other side of town, an ICE is waiting
With fiery combustion and range no one could steal
It drives on through the night, anticipating
Because it makes the trip in time to catch a meal

With Biden stepping down for re-election, Mary’s PIP is about to take dive, her EV goals, that is.

The market has already decided, and you cannot force people to buy your products.
How many times has GM learned this lesson?

"Build it and they will come" doesn't work with 20% real inflation, 7% interest rates, record credit card and auto loan delinquencies, 2x insurance rates and a 62% labor participation rate. It also will not work when the product doesn't have any extra utility, is not practical for distance travel and cost more to buy and insure.

If we were being HONEST, we would admit that it's a non-starter from multiple angles and the environmental argument falls flat for a variety of other reasons .

No sense in investing for that capacity if the market isn’t there. Think she hinted at the market not being there ‘yet’ though. Mary seems to still think customers will all see the light on EVs just like her (sarcasm). Perfect example of elitism and being disconnected from most everyone else. You know what they say? Go woke, go broke.

@2kyb, more likely the way you formed a post triggered the review and deletion, probably a curse or a personal insult. Try rephrasing, it worked for me when one of mine posts got nuked.
