This happened years ago. An ex colleague of mine got ra’ed. But he was able to convince customers he was managing to leave ibm and join another competiter. Management was PI---D but nothing they could do. Talk about karma. Lol

Going to a competitor is changing technology you dum@$$ Get a clue
@6acb+1oPDaOmG: Why do you keep talking about "no company will change its technology to keep a salesman"? No one is saying that a company should change its technology for one salesperson. What was being said was that if you fire a salesperson trusted by your customers, he may take your customers with him to a competitor. Do you disagree with this? If not, then shut the eff up.
Of course That's what sales are...relationships But no company changes technology just for a relationship with a salesperson End of lie
I used to be in IBM sales. When I left (voluntarily), I retained my customer base and continued to sell to them, albeit non-IBM product. I compete against IBM on a regular basis, and although i don't always win, I typically win when the customer knew me from my IBM days. This is pretty common - reps always try to leverage relationships - it's a big part of successful selling.
Oldest lie ever. Yeah I'm sure a company rip and replaced technology just to keep their salesman
