@7ck and that is the problem .... secrecy. Only the Lord's anointed were worthy to be privy to such talks
@68
I was part of secret meetings 6 months ago about how to double the control plane performance of cBIP when they made the decision to cancel Next.
@63n I want to know the same thing. How did you know?
@cc Turns out you were right.
@cc how did you know that bigip next was being mothballed? You were absolutely spot on
volterra/xc is also a hype. what's not hype in this company? old McAdam product. still works :-D
@OP "Don't believe the hype" - as we all see now
@4sh Uh - not anymore......
@cc didn'i happen. next is still around.
@OP No
@cc good ridance to a piece of junk
@s5 is the “improved efficiency” the effect delivered by the copilot and vibe coding?
@s4 it failed because it was hacked together with agile and scrum. It was not engineered
@rx no it was not. Yes, it is a failed project. It failed due to the mismanagement and poor visibility of higher management.
Big ip next is a joke...
@dp being on of the developer of biggie next, I should shout, it was the right target. Unfortunately, all efforts destroyed by the stupid managers, directors, engineering vps and street smart and lazy architects. With their big egos and false show off, they highjack the credits from the real folks whose were building the products. New top management join F5, snicked in their buddy’s from the he-l and took control. They created new groups with people of their choices and ruined everything. Anyone objected to their views or approaches were laid off, misbehaved with them and removed.
If anyone go back to the history, will find how management with their greed for power, destroyed the company.
@cc should never have been released in yhe first place centralized manager is a hacjers paradise
@cc should be, along with the managers and VPs that are not able to deliver on their promises
BIGIP next is going to be mothballed this month. Good luck everyone……
